Warning signs

The street floods all the time when it rains hard.  So sometimes the manhole covers lose their concrete strips.  So they need to put a marker to let people know to go around.  Sometimes it has a tree trunk covering it and many other things. But this time they switched things up.  

They put this wimpy little paper covered sign and a branch from a palm tree in the hole.  On the way home from school we saw that they had these official looking poles.  So we picked one up and it was just a chunk of pvc  pipe that they had painted.  The funny part is that they weighed next to nothing.  In fact, it all did.  So what I don't have pictures of is that the next hard rain sent everything down the street and left the hole open again.  

There's a reason that manhole covers should be round!
