Basketball

Marcela is on the High School basketball team this year even though she's only an 8th grader.  She's pretty good!! My only complaint is one I cannot fix at all.  The games begin before the end of the school day which means that Reggie often can't see them because the girls are almost always first.  So that's a bit of a bummer.  But the away games happen at the same time so the kids leave school early.  There's no way we can go watch them play.  But we are thankful for the games we do get to see.  Here are some pics of the fun!!

Reggie's class had Music (which is in the gym) during the very first game since the kids couldn't have music because of the noise, he sat with his kids there and they all watched the first few minutes of the game.  They cheered so loud!!

The secondary had a pep rally first and so they all had face paint on.

We are the CAG Cougars so we have a mascot.  He was so hot inside there!!  Guatemala City isn't a super hot place but it is VERY humid and it can get quite warm in the buildings because there isn't any heat, AC, or fans.

Marcela is a good player and we are thankful for how much she loves to play.  Having said that, they got their behinds kicked pretty badly.

Lillian missed nearly the entire game (which was fine with her) because the end of the school day was just before Marcela's game ended.  But she was excited to show us her quilling art project from that day.

We really love CAG.  We are thankful we get to serve here!!

I'm glad you all are liking it there and that it has stuff like art and sports that are important to your girls :).
