Is Texas a nation on its own?

This was the debate. Is Texas its own nation. At the international day we had nations from all over the world and 6 continents and the only one that had its own booth but wasn't it's own sovereign nation was TEXAS!! Go figure. This is the mother of a few of the students here and she is from, you guessed it. TEXAS. So she served amazing BBQ and Pecan Pie. A treat extraordinaire.

She dreamed up this version of are you smarter than a 5th grader but did it with Marcela. So are you smarter than a Pre-K. (I fed all the answers to Marcela and Reggie purposely answered them slowly.) But she was so proud of herself. She was so disappointed when Reggie told her later that he had let her win. And he only told her that because she was telling everyone that she was smarter than her dad!

Incidentally there is a little bit of TX vs OK war going on here as well.
