Marcela and I went to the store (before Lillian was born) and bought the supplies to make this cork board thingy. We decided that she needed a special place where we could write her I love you notes just for her. She got to pick out the colors and everything and she really enjoyed making it with me. In a time of transition it's really difficult to feel that mom and dad really love you and that you matter. (at least it seems that way at times) So we have a special place just for us to write all the things that we think but don't often say! That way when she's feeling down or alone, she can read them and remember that we do love her!
