Special time with Grandpa S.

Lillian and a snake skinned bow!

Grandpa's new hobby- Flint Napping!  Or making gravel as we like to tease him.

He takes a big stone and hits it a lot of times until he is left with an arrow head.  (Thus leaving lots of little pieces of rock on the floor aka gravel :)


I'm not sure what Marcela is doing for Grandpa here.

Grandpa is making bows for the big girls and here Harmony is helping him with one of them.  

I'm so thankful for my Dad!!

I'm pretty sure Marcela is getting ready to make a bow string. We'll wait for Grandpa to comment for sure though.

Yes, Marcela is making a bow string for her bow. Both girls used the draw knife and helped me tiller. We don't have the bows done though. It got so hot that swimming was a lot more enjoyable than working on bows. It is even too hot to make gravel. Sure a lot more fun to do hobbies with young help.
