Kadayawan Festival

This past weekend was the Kadayawan festival. We were told it is a celebration in Davao where they celebrate the abundance of the harvest. But really now it's a chance for people from outside the city to come into the city and compete in tribal dancing and float making to win a cash prize. It was amazing how many people were in the city and how crazy loud it was. The one difficult thing was that everyone used umbrellas to shade themselves from the sun but we are taller than them so we could only see umbrellas. We moved several times until we finally found a space where we could see.
