Jungle Day

Jungle day was my favorite day of the week. I love the jungle and we were able to learn much about survival in the jungle. The most important thing to have is Water. We were shown many different ways to get water from nature that is safe to drink. Here is a water vine. As you can see water just poured out of it! There were about three different ones, one was a little bitter but the others were better. If you click on the photo (to zoom in on it) with the boy drinking, you will see the water flow.

The tree with a leaf stuck in it can fill 2 to 3 gallons of water over night. Water only flows overnight so you have to plan ahead. This video shows water flowing from bamboo. During the evening devotions there was a campfire made from bamboo. The bamboo exploded as the water inside became steam. People here will do that around new years if they can't afford fireworks because the bang is just as loud!
