We talked to our landlord and she approved us to open a few more windows in our living room. Remember how they were all closed in when we moved in and they opened two for us? Well it's just really way too hot so we decided to just pay for them to be opened ourselves. We asked if they would pay the labor part because that's the cheaper part and we would pay for all the supplies. They graciously agreed! We were a little nervous about how much the supplies would cost but they only ended up being about 80 dollars which is a small price to pay in the long run for so much more air and light in a room.
So this is the sala before they cut out the cement but after we'd moved out most of the furniture

They began knocking out the windows on Monday the 9
th. This is what it looks like on Tuesday the 17
th. Notice that we have windows but they are open to the world. No screens no glass no nothing. Not even completed cement window frames.

Here are all the supplies that they need sitting there in
the corner of the
sala. The man came and knocked out the windows in just a few days and we were so excited. Then the man came to put the cement back where the first guy took too much off. 2 steps forward at least one step back every time. Well then he just hasn't come back so over a week and we still have gaping holes. Not a big deal right?!?!
MOSQUITOES need I say more? Ok DENGUE FEVER!!!!

This is our dining room right now (sorry for the laundry, it's so rainy they won't dry outside) We have the kitchen table and chairs, my sewing desk and Reggie's recliner and one of the sofa chairs and out of the picture is a big book shelf. Harmony's room has her stuff plus the rocking chair and the other
sala chair and thankfully the sofa is back down in the
sala because it was up here in the kitchen.

The part that makes it really hard is that the man who was supposed to come finish the cement work has informed us all that he isn't going to finish it. So the landlord told us that we will just have to find
someone to do it ourselves. I'm struggling a bit because that seems daunting to me, but we are taking it one day at a time and I'm sure God will be faithful to make it all happen. Reggie parents get here in 3 days and our house is a complete disaster. But again, God is faithful. I have no idea how He will help this to work out but somehow it will.
