Paper and egg rolls

Reg did a unit last year on China.  He taught them how to make paper.  We've helped him in the past so we thought it might be fun to do it again! 

 Only this year I helped them make eggs rolls as well!  It was pretty fun.  They don't have traditional egg roll wrappers in the grocery store.  I'm sure they have them here somewhere but I don't know where.  So we used the local Lumpia wrapper.  I have no idea how they differ but they are drier and thinner and crack easier.  But we also had some rice wrappers too.  These are completely dry and you have to wet them prior to filling.  

Lets just say that many of the egg rolls fell apart.  But they were pretty yummy!!
